Black Diamond Option:  About a 34 mile round trip bike ride with live music and socially distant socializing in the middle.
Blue Square Option:  About a 5 mile round trip walk with live music and socially distant socializing at the end.
Green Circle Option:  About a 5 mile round trip bike ride with live music and socially distant socializing at the end.
Lounge Lizard Option:  About a 500 foot walk from a parking lot to PD Pappy’s for live music and socially distant socializing.

Black Diamond - Trail Map

Black Diamond Option:  For those that want the casual longer bike ride
Meet at 12:30 at the Gateway Trail’s 55th Street Parking lot, across from Fleet Farm just off Highway 36 (see the detailed map for more information).

Black Diamond - Parking Details

Leave at 12:45 and bike the beautiful Gateway Trail for about 6.0 miles to the Duluth Junction, which is the start of the Brown’s Creek Trail.
Bike the 5.9 miles of the Brown’s Creek Trail down the gradual slope into Downtown Stillwater and connect with the Green Circle’ers at approximately 2:00-2:15.

 

 

Blue Square - Green Circle - Lounge Lizards Trail

Blue Square Option:  For those that want a casual 90-ish minute walk
Meet at 1:15 for a 1:30 leave.
Meet near the start of the downtown Stillwater Lift Bridge on the Minnesota side for a casual 4.7 mile walk on the new Stillwater Loop Trail.
Recommend to walk through downtown downtown Stillwater and up towards the new bridge and then cross over the river to the cheesey WI side and then down the steep hill and take in the nice sights as you cross the refurbished bridge into Stillwater.

 

As a bonus, this group should cross paths with those in the biking groups (Black Diamond’ers and Green Circle’ers) as they will be traveling in the opposite direction. Finish the walking route at PD Pappy’s (422 E. Mulberry Street ) on the river and connect with the Black Diamond’ers, Green Circle’ers and Lounge Lizards.

 

Green Circle Option:  For those that want the casual shorter bike ride
Meet at 2:00 for a 2:15 leave.
Meet near the start of the downtown Stillwater Lift Bridge on the Minnesota side for a casual 4.7 mile bike ride on the new Stillwater Loop Trail.
The Black Diamond’ers should be connecting with you to begin this trip.
Recommend to ride across the bridge to the cheesey WI side and go up the steep start and have the gradual decline for the end of the bike route.

As a bonus, this group should cross paths with those in the walking group (Blue Square’ers) as they will be traveling in the opposite direction.
Finish the bike route at PD Pappy’s (422 E. Mulberry Street ) on the river and connect with the Blue Square’ers and Lounge Lizards.

 

 

Lounge Lizard Option:  For those that want to casual socially distant socializing and meet up with the bikers and walkers
Meet at 3:00 at PD Pappy’s in downtown Stillwater.
422 E. Mulberry Street, Stillwater, MN  55082
Black Diamond’ers, Blue Square’ers, and Green Circle’ers will connect with you about 3:00.

There is free live music from 3-6pm.
PD Pappy’s serves great 1/3 lb burgers and cold beer, as well as other food and beverages, but why would you want other food or beverages??
Black Diamond’ers should leave between 5:30 – 6:00 to ensure they are back at the parking lot and packed up before sundown, which happens approximately 7:27pm.

 

There are several free parking lots throughout downtown Stillwater.  Just drive around a bit, follow the crowd, just ask someone, or Google “Stillwater MN Free Parking”
